Communications Team Coordinator
The European Association for Information on Local Development (AEIDL) invites applications for the position of Communications Team Coordinator. The Communications Team Coordinator will be responsible for providing general coordination and central management of the external communications team which provides assistance to the EU LIFE programme.
The Coordinator will in particular be responsible for the following tasks:
- Liaising with the European Commission on all aspects of the LIFE communication contract
- Planning organising and distributing the communications workload to the other team members, under guidance from the Commission;
- Managing and supervising the work of the team, including dealing with all human resource and recruitment issues;
- Providing information and training on relevant issues of LIFE communication, on the basis of guidance from the Commission services, and dealing with any questions that may be raised by team members on these topics;
- Overseeing the quality of all deliverables to the Commission;
- Ensure the delivery of regular reports to the Commission, as required by the contract.
- Managing the administrative and financial aspects of the contract;
Qualifications:
- Academic background in the environment and/or communications;
- Additional training/qualifications in project management would be an advantage
Professional experience:
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience in coordinating a diverse and multi-national group of communications experts;
- Specific work experience in communications, with a very good knowledge of communication tools and methods, preferable relevant to the areas covered by the LIFE programme;
- Knowledge of EU environment and nature protection policy
- Experience in financial management and budgeting
- Excellent command of English
Other skills
- The Coordinator will have good interpersonal and communication skills, and a proven ability to maintain and build relations with clients and collaborators.
