THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY

AEIDL has around twenty associate members, local actors from various European Union countries. They include academics, development agents, association managers, civil servants and social economy company directors, who are all associated with AEIDL on a personal basis.

Through their professional and other activities, AEIDL’s associates are all directly or indirectly connected with local development. These are "people from the field", aware of the issues, challenges and sustained work involved in any development process, based on a local approach and citizens’ participation.

 

THE BOARD MEMBERS

Chairman: Jean-Pierre PELLEGRIN

Since 1998, Jean-Pierre Pellegrin has been working as an independent consultant and has been involved in the evaluation of several EU programmes (notably for DG Employment & Social Affairs, DG Regional Policy and several EQUAL projects). Jean-Pierre Pellegrin has also worked at an international level, namely as a Senior Administrator at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). For seven years (1978-1985), he was attached to the Directorate for Employment and Social Affairs and then spent thirteen years at the Directorate for Territorial Development (1985-1998). He has provided technical support to the OECD Committee on Employment policies, the Working Party on Regional development and the Urban Affairs Group.  He also contributed to and was responsible for the evaluation of employment and social policy programmes in several OECD member countries.Jean-Pierre has a PhD in Economics and a MA in Demography. His primary BA degree was in geography.

 

Vice-Chairwoman and Secretary: Odile PLAN

Consultant and founder of BIPLAN ‘Territoires, Formation, Réseaux’, Odile Plan was involved in the board; creating and implementing projects. She is the coordinator of the blog biplan.over-blog.com; she is a member of the French Rural network; she is also a member of the CVC (Collectif Ville Campagne) and of Source (resource centre for rural tourism and heritage.
